Apple has long been criticized for its use of retro technology.

A few years ago, for example, Apple debuted the iPhone 7 in a retro design that resembled the iPhone 5C’s aluminum back, and a year later it released the iPhone 6S in a look that resembled a 1970s design.

The iPhone X is set to use a lot of the same retro styling that Apple used in its original iPhone designs.

Apple will be debuting the iPhone Max at its upcoming event on October 13, so we’re excited to see what design decisions Apple makes for the phone.

The Verge will have more on iPhone X sLined up in the coming days.
